RRB NTPC TPYING SKILL TEST (TST)

The RRB NTPC Computer-Based Typing Skill Test (CBTST) requires a net speed of 30 WPM in English or 25 WPM in Hindi over a 10-minute evaluation period.  Rules at a Glance: Nature: Qualifying only (Pass/Fail); marks are not added to the CBT-2 merit list. Duration: 10 minutes for the actual evaluation test. A 1-minute keyboard familiarization (warm-up) and a 30-second break precede it.  Backspace & Editing: Permanently disabled. Backspace, Delete, and arrow/cursor movement keys do not work during the evaluation.  Minimum Word Count: Must type at least 300 words (English) or 250 words (Hindi); falling short leads to immediate disqualification before speed calculation. Retyping Policy: Allowed. If you finish the passage before 10 minutes end, you can retype the passage from the beginning.  Allowed Fonts & Layouts:English: QWERTY keyboard.Hindi: Kruti Dev 010 or Mangal font (Remington GAIL layout). Error & Speed Calculation: Mistakes Buffer: Mistakes up to 5% of total words typed are excused (no penalty). Penalty: Every error made beyond the 5% free margin deducts 10 words from your gross word count. ​

    There is no separate half-mistake concession. Every uncorrected error counts in full.

  • Accuracy and WPM are scored on the server after submit.
