Complete Computer Typing Test Rules (Mandatory for ARO)

Typing is a qualifying test conducted only for candidates short-listed for ARO posts after the Mains examination.

* Language: Hindi Typing is mandatory. (English typing is optional; candidates with English typing knowledge get preference if scores are equal).

* Speed Requirement: Minimum 25 words per minute (wpm) in Hindi.

* Font: Kruti Dev 010 or Mangal (Inscript layout).

* Duration: 5 Minutes.

* Software Environment: Conducted on UPPSC's official online typing application. Backspace is typically permitted, but accuracy is calculated strictly based on correct words typed within the given timeframe.

* Evaluation Criteria: Accuracy matters—excessive spelling errors or missed words reduce your effective speed score. You must hit at least 125 correct words in the 5-minute window to clear the qualification threshold.

Salaries for both posts are structured according to the 7th Pay Commission rules.
